In Spring 2024, We took a sophomore class trip to Atlanta, where we explored various facets of the design industry. We visited Interface and Shaw Contract firms, learning about flooring design, production processes, and sustainability in manufacturing. A tour of a carpet weaving factory gave us a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship behind textile production.

We also visited Cooper Carry, an architecture and design firm, where we gained valuable insights into professional design practices. Beyond the learning experiences, the trip helped us grow closer as a class and provided a memorable and refreshing break from the studio.
